Famitsu reports that unlicensed accessory manufacturer, PEGA, is set to release the four-piece Sports Pack for the Nintendo Wii. To really give you that "It's in the game" feel, the Sports Pack includes attachments to turn your Wii-mote into a baseball bat, tennis racket or golf club. Unfortunately, there is no boxing glove or bowling shoes attachment. But for only $25, one can hardly complain.
It's hard to imagine why Nintendo was not willing to license the Sports Pack. After all, so long as Nintendo had included a nice illustrated instruction manual, like the one packed with the Wii in Japan, there was certainly no risk of a zealous Wii tennis player cold-clocking their younger sibling upside the head after losing a match....accidentally, of course.
