« Twin Famicom Review | Main | 2005 Import Recap »
How big is the Nintendo DS in Japan right now? Well for starters, the DS is kickin' every other system's ass in sales. For example, for the week of 1/16 - 1/22, the DS sold almost as many units as the PSP and the PS2 combined. Damn skippy, that's an ass kickin'.
And if you look at software sales, the DS is dominatin' with 45.4% of the market as compared to PS2's 25.9% market share. How does the XBOX 360 measure up, you wonder. Well, the 5-year old GameCube sold more hardware, and the 360 only has a 1.2% market share of software sales. So compared to the DS, the XBOX 360, with its perty graphics and all, is down right pathetic. Touchin' IS good!
Famitsu, the Japanese gaming publication, has decided to stand up and recognize DS's author-i-tay by running a two week special spread on the DS. In the first installment, the Famitsu crew provides their review scores for every DS game released to date. PG has provided you with the recap below. On top of that, the Famitsu crew sounds off on their favorite DS games. Check to see how your favorites stack up against the faves of Famitsu!
