On the software side, it's a tale of two regions. In America, 5 of the top 10 selling games are Xbox 360 titles. In Japan, however, Nintendo completely dominates with 9 out of the top 10 selling games released exclusively on Nintendo platforms.

Wii Fit has quickly become the new Wii Sports of Japan. Super Mario Galaxy continues to sell better in the US than it does in Japan. Surprisingly, of all the consoles the game was released on Guitar Hero III sold the worst on the PS3. The Wii version out performed the PS3 version 3 to 1. The Xbox 360 continues to dominate sales in America for third party multi-platform games. If only the Xbox 360 enjoyed a tenth of that success in Japan.
