Dead In The Now
Corey Lewis describes his vision.

"REVERSE-ZOMBIE TALE"
Doesn't mean it's a story about a world of zombies that are plagued by a "human" virus. Instead, my story deals with your standard zombie virus, but, unlike most all other zombie stories, Dead in the Now is about a person who finds the FIRST "root" zombie, and decides HIMSELF to let the usher in the catastrophe of allowing the undead lay claim to the world. Of course, the steps he takes to build his zombie army, and the moral issues he deals with along the way are the MAIN NOUGAT of what make my comic so awesome.

The two main characters are BRAZ, and his zombie, Z-Rex. At first, Z-Rex craves Braz's flesh just like any other human's... but the two build a comradarie that overpowers Z-Rex's desire for flesh, and assurances that he'll be able to eat as much as he likes. Along with Z-Rex, Braz assumes the mantle of the "Great Zombie Brain".

Braz will have his own group of "Pro-Zombers". He can't change the world on his own. He needs other able-minded humans to assist him. For the most part, he finds who he needs at his school. Cristy is his main friend, and general of the zombie hoard.

All the characters have their own reasons for wanting "Zombie Revolution". Some want it for musical reasons, some for animalistic reasons, some for spacial reasons... but the main idea is to weed out "un-survivors" in our bloated society. Cristy is the most passionate-minded of the group, so she keeps Braz from killing unnecessary innocents.

Another key point of the series will be what supplies and weapons the characters choose to equip themselves with. DEAD is a hyper-reality, comedic story. The characters are able to attain giant guns and katana swords with relative ease. Skateboarding the barren, bloody streets of cities is one of their favorite past-times.

Along with the characters' weapons & motives, the zombie TYPES themselves are an integral part of the comic's storytelling. At first there are typical hoards of people zombies, but as time progresses, our team will meet various throngs of unique zombie-dom. Pirates, Ninjas, Mailmen, Dentists, Cowboys, Girlscouts, Actors-- every key zombie will be unique and specifically awesome. A "zombiary" guide to zombies will be carried by most characters, enabling them to identify the different zombie kinds.

Braz uses many unique methods of marking his world. Graffiti is mostly used to label parts of cities as "clean" or "zombie infested". He also uses the paint to color his own zombie army, indicating which are more ferocious than others.

Along with that, there are people in his group who just want to rock the faces off zombies with music.

Dead in the Now.

A reverse-zombie hyper-reality tale. The kind of story where a kid can exterminate millions of humans, and it is funny and rad.
