After many months of speculation as to whether Star Bear was in fact real, the PGI were determined to show the world that he was. After months of research and many long hours of searching for the ‘bear cave’ the PGI are extremely happy to report the capture of Star Bear. The long journey to his capture was the result of many labor intensive hours of sorting through tips that came in to PG HQ at all hours of the night, most of which turned out to be too old for any new leads. The PGI are now hard at work interrogating Star Bear to gain any insight into his plans for the future and his promise to appear at PAX. With Star Bear in custody at PG HQ, the chances of an escape are slim, so the only way for Star Bear to appear at PAX is in the safe custody of the Pink Godzilla Elders. Upon close examination of Star Bear’s appearance, the Elders were flabbergasted to learn that he had apparently been around before the creation of Super Smash Bros Brawl. As you can see in the image below, the artists rendition of Star Bear is near astounding in its accuracy, proving the PGI had prior knowledge of his existence.

Unfortunately, the PGI did not recover the trees as seen in this earlier sketch so identification may be more difficult than anticipated.

The PGI are currently hard at work compiling the footage from their interrogation of Star Bear so that the truth can be shown to the world about his future plans. Elder Goban required several days of rest after his long interview with Star Bear and is still recuperating from the ordeal at PG HQ. Some of the footage contains graphic images of Star Bear trying to escape, and many facts were learned about his powers, including the origin of the Star Wand, which is the main source of his power. New information was also learned about his sidekick, which is still unclear at this time and will require further research by the PGI. The main mystery still unknown at this juncture is the true way of unlocking Star Bear in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which the Elders are unsure of how it happened in the first place. The PGI are hard at work analyzing the information from the interrogation of Star Bear and will release any relevant information as soon as possible.

The truth about Star Bear will no doubt be known in a few short days as the Elders finish their report and post their findings exclusively here on the PG Blog.
