It's hip to be square. That's why we took a picture of this orginal square button famicom (round button famicom above) that walked into our store today. Square button Famicoms don't pop up very often as they were only manufactured in 1983. Apparently, those square corners were dangerous!!!!

eh i wouldn't say dangerous, they would however get stuck. The button design was also changed to differentiate the difference between the original famicom which was prone to games freezing and the fixed revision. A nice peice of Famicom history however. Wouldn't mind one in my own collection :)
