PG @ Home: Part Two in a Series

Due to popular demand PG is proud to present, PG @ Home, a delightful series of PG themed items that anyone can enjoy in the comfort of their own home with just a few simple supplies. Last time, we gave you the supplies to make a paper Pink Godzilla and hopefully a few of them still survive! Everyone now knows that the Pink Godzilla Plushy is stealthy, so check out the latest in PG papercraft! Tune in after the jump for the second round of PG @ Home!

In the last installment of PG @ Home, we showed you how to make a paper Pink Godzilla that was fairly simple, and the second round is maybe even a slight bit easier! This round we have the Pink in a box papercraft, so that Pink Godzilla can sneak around and report any suspicious activity to the Elder's at the PG headquarters in Seattle.

Ready to give it a try? Just click on the guide below to enlarge and print it out to get started!

Okay, so now it is a simple process to build your own Pink Godzilla; get your rubber cement and scissors and keep the instructions handy. If you have already successfully completed paper Pink Godzilla, then this should be no problem to make in a short time. First, cut out all of the pieces (watch out for the tabs!) and lay them out in front of you, the process is simple and should take 15-20 minutes to complete at the most.

Start by gluing the ‘body’ together by attaching the tab on the left side to the right forming a hollow shell with the base being the bottom. Now try weighting the body with a few coins or any small heavy objects you have lying around to support the weight of the tail. The object can be just a few coins to support the weight of the tail and the box. The image above is the finished torso with the tail attached and is what the body should look like after the next few steps.

Now that the main body is done, move on to the tail, glue the left tab to the right and close the tail in a cone shape. Before attaching the three fins in order, starting with the largest to the smallest along Pink Godzilla’s tail, make sure to put them far enough down to have the box lay flat on the front inch or so of Pink Godzilla’s tail. Attach the tail to the base by trimming the large end of the tail to fit around the curved body as tightly fitting as possible.

Now that the visible part of Pink Godzilla’s body is done, move on to the box. Start by forming the box by gluing the tabs on each side together until the box is formed. Next, fold the long sides into the center of the box to form the underside flaps of the box in cardboard color. The sides of the box are uneven and the box’s backside is the side with the arrow pointing up and should rest on Pink Godzilla’s tail. Now, simply place the box on Pink Godzilla’s body and look at the finished product, a Pinky G-in-a-box!

Now Pink Godzilla can sneak around and not be seen! Pinky G has used this technique many times including recently at Wondercon, sneaking away to chat it up with some booth babes!

That’s it for this round of PG @ Home! Make sure to check back in the next few months for the next installment where anything in the PG world could be made into a delightful display! The possibilities are endless!
