PAX 08: Exhibition Hall Before and After Hours

There are good time and bad times for Exhibitors during PAX setup. Luckily the good times are more frequent than the bad times especially if you're not the one stuck sitting in a Uhaul truck for 5 hours staring at a bridge. Just how big has PAX gotten? This year marked the first year that they ever used a Marshaling Yard to queue the hordes of Exhibitor trucks. What, never heard of a Marshaling Yard? Neither had we.

Behold - the Marshaling Yard! While most of the PG crew went directly by car to the Convention Center, Elder Matsu and Cheatum's Uhaul was diverted here for 5 hours thanks to Intel's snafu.

Here's a shot of the excitement oozing Uhaul truck all up in the Marshaling Yard.

Meanwhile, back at the Convention Center, the rest of the PG crew were revelliing it up with ice-cold PBR, tasty snacks and Dev Kit.

Current Dev Kit single game high-score record holder Donald 'The Grizzly' Tidd could not resist (nor could anyone else) hugging the plushy pyramid.

Which is fine and all but Donald wouldn't stop so we had to forcefully chain him to Da Boof.

After setup Thursday, we got a little time to explore the Exhibition Center. Elder Goban got down on one knee and proposed to the Fallout 3 girl... which got her really hot.

Saturday night was the Exhibitor party which concluded with a bean bag long slide contest.

Nozomi took the gold medal in the women's long slide on her first try.

Later on Saturday, we got some eats and sang Karaoke with the Behemoth crew.

As you might have heard, PG did not do this while Behemoth was waiting for us at dinner.
