Hot on the heals of the Japanese release of the Kanji Dictionary and various language assistance programs, Nintendo will launch “Shaberu DS O-Ryori Navi” (Talking DS Cooking Navigator), which teaches DS owners how to cook.
With recipes for over 200 different Japanese delights, Nintendo may once again strike gold with a title that is sure to appeal to the masses. Considering the Japanese culture and the popularity of the DS, there may be no more popular a wedding gift in Japan this summer than the “Shaberu DS O-Ryori Navi” and Noble Pink DS combo (both are set for release on 7/20).
What separates “O-Ryori Navi” from a normal cookbook is that it will guide you through the culinary process via speech. When the “player” is ready to move on to the next step, a simple spoken “OK” to the DS will advance the game to the next set of instructions. I wonder if we'll see the DS make an appearance on the Food Network's Iron Chef.
With cooking out of the way, the only question remaining is how long until the DS will clean our houses?

Is Chairman Kaga in the game?
It's not a real cooking game unless Chairman Kaga is in it.
