New DS Lite announced!
Yes sir, a newly designed DS is prepped and ready for release in Japan this March. No release date has been announced for the US version but it is anticipated to be Spring of this year. Why wait for the US version when you can swing by Pink Godzilla and pick it up now? The DS is region free.
Why shell out more money for another DS? Weighing in at 215g, compared to the 275g of the original, the DS Lite is about 40% smaller (in volume) and gives the DS a much more modern "I-pod" look. It even comes in white! - and two more colors yet to be announced.
As much as PG loves the DS, the design always appeared a bit toyish looking to many, including us. Now the DS will be just as good looking as it is fun to play. Way to go Nintendo!
