Here in Seattle, we're all looking forward to cheering on our Seahawks as they take on the Green Bay Packers this Saturday. For Metal Gear Solid fans, though, the game carries a bit of significance. Read on to hear why English-speaking Metal Gear fans will be rooting for Green Bay this weekend.
On the latest episode of the Kojima Productions Report (you can listen to it here), Kojima Productions' weekly podcast, host Ryan Payton and guest Mark MacDonald talked about a lot of things - Japanese police, Metal Gear, Hideo Kojima, slingboxes - until the conversation veered towards football. Ryan, being a northwest native, was pulling for the Seahawks, while Mark had Green Bay pegged as the winner.
And so, a friendly wager was made - if Green Bay wins on Saturday, Ryan will have to pre-emptively reveal a piece of secret Metal Gear info on the next podcast.
So, Metal Gear fans, who are you rooting for? Metal Gear and Seahawks fans, who are you rooting for? Matt Hasselbeck, or a monkey in a diaper addicted to soda? Mike Holmgren or Colonel Campbell? Solid Snake or Blitz, the Seahawks... Seahawk? Tune in to the game on Saturday and the Kojima Productions report next week to find out. Tactical espionage pigskin!
