Say it isn't so!
The Electronic Entertainment Expo as we know it is no more. In an announcement that sent everyone reeling, ESA president Doug Lowenstein announced major changes to the format, size, date, and location of E3 (Or, the event formerly known as E3; It's now the E3 Media Festival). Lowenstein noted that the event will become an invitation-only affair, drastically reducing the size from 60,000+ to around 5,000 attendees. Pink Godzilla would like to have a moment of silence for the millions of gamers out there who didn't get to attend this year's final show.
But take heart, loyal reader! When the red door closes, the blue key appears. As Yoda would say, "There is... another." PAX is coming up at the end of this month, no snooty industry credentials required. And, some might say, it is even better, because there is at least one thing that PAX has that E3 doesn't.
(Here's a hint: It's pink)
