As the league continues, many questions remain, who will make it to the PG Dev Kit tournament of champions in November? Who will be crowned the new Dev Kit World Champion? Will Joe Zone Joe ever be found? Will Steve recover from creating the Steve Zone? The answers to these questions will be answered over the next few months. Hit the jump for an in depth look at the Steve Zone and the updated scores from the latest meeting.
Everyone's Makin' Videogames. Why Not You?
Here are the updated results of Round 8 of the Dev Kit Developer's league. The point total is the product of your average score plus your average margin of victory/defeat multiplied by your winning percentage. So if you didn't win a game, your score is zero. But don't worry. Only your best 15 games count toward your final score, so there is plenty of time for everyone to rise to the top of the leaderboard. The more you play, the better your chances of qualifying for the tournament of champions in November.

After the discovery of the Steve Zone at Jet City Retro, the Elders released a preliminary report on their findings, but found that much more research was needed. The Steve Zone was originally though to be when a player scores under 15 points in a game of Dev Kit, but the Elders are unsure if playing an entire day of Dev Kit without winning a single match would qualify as well. Both feats have been accomplished by the same player maybe more than once, so the label would still be the same. The debate continued as Elder Taragan made his point clear that the Steve Zone debate joins the other great philosophical debates in modern history as an unsolvable puzzle. The Steve Zone joins great debates such as Less filling vs. Tastes Great, Coke vs. Pepsi, Cookie vs. Cake, and of course the greatest of them all, "You got peanut butter in my chocolate" or "you got chocolate in my peanut butter."
While the debate over the Steve Zone will no doubt continue for years, the Joe Zone has yet to claim another victim for a long time. Those standing securely in the Steve Zone have commented on the view into the Joe Zone and the icy feeling that engulfs those who end up there, but the true shape of the Steve Zone was just recently found out. The very edge of the Steve Zone, which extends on a small jetty over the edge of the Joe Zone, just a mere few feet away from doom, is a dangerous place for any developer to regularly visit so make sure to pay attention at all times! Dev Kit is a serious game that requires great concentration and mastery of many skills to beat the odds and stay safely outside of both Zones. The again absence of Joe Zone Joe is almost expected, as the Elders have all but given up hope on seeing the long lost player any time soon. Still, any information on his whereabouts is still needed, so contact the Elders with any information.
