Dev Kit Developer’s League Update

dev.kit.card.back.new.gif The second Pink Godzilla Dev Kit Developer's League meeting was held this past Sunday and the season is still going strong. Games were made, points were tallied and a great time was had by all! The field is all over the map with some hardened players effected by the curse of the Joe Zone! Hit the jump for a full recap with the updated scores and more on the curse of the Joe Zone!

Everyone's Makin' Videogames. Why Not You?

Here are the updated results of Round 2 of the Dev Kit Developer's league. The point total is the product of your average score plus your average margin of victory/defeat multiplied by your winning percentage. So if you didn't win a game, your score is zero. But don't worry. Only your best 15 games count toward your final score, so there is plenty of time for everyone to rise to the top of the leaderboard. The more you play, the better your chances of qualifying for the tournament of champions in November.

Some of the games most hardened players are still feeling the wrath of the Joe Zone! For those unfamiliar with the Joe Zone, it is when an unfortunate player in a game of Dev Kit scores a total of 0 points! The 4 players in the first recorded game where the Joe Zone was created all suffered from the horrible events of that fateful game. With Joe Zone Joe being forever immortalized all over the world by naming the 0 point club after him, it was all downhill from there. Two of the others players were none other than Number Johnny Five and RJ Star who are currently in last and second to last place so far in the League respectively. The other player was none other than Cheatum, who rose above the curse to take 2nd place at the PAX 2007 Dev Kit Tournament, only to injure his card laying elbow and be out of the Dev Kit League for the season! Only time will tell what will become of the 4 players who are feeling the curse of the Joe Zone! Will Joe Zone Joe actually make it to a league meeting? Will Number Johnny Five and RJ Star rise above the bad start to the season and make a respectable showing? Will Cheatum ever recover from his injury and challenge Rick, the current Dev Kit World Champion? The future does not look bright for the Joe Zone 4! Stay tuned for more on this developing story as the League continues, and remember these fateful words,

“If you end up in the Joe Zone, I'll divorce you!" –Donald

Make sure to check out the next Pink Godzilla Dev Kit Developer's League on Sunday, April 6th at Blue Highway Games. Feel free to drop by and play a few games with the Elders and compete against the Leagues best players. Much heated battles are no doubt to ensue as the league grows so stay tuned to keep up to date with the Pink Godzilla Dev Kit Developer's League.
