Okay, let's do this thing!
Whoa whoa whooa! I uh, hate to admit it, but this is my first time using the PG Dev Kit.
What.
Yes. But I'm a quick learner, so can you show me the ropes?
Of course! Let's walk through the first few hands together. Then I will crush you with my mad game developing skillz.
What's that?
Oh nothing. Let's begin.
PRE-GAME
Okay, so we begin by shuffling the deck and dealing the cards. You get five, and I get five, and we also deal out five for the "Resource Row". Normally you don't show your hand to the other player, but we're going to lay out our hands just to see how things work.
Resource Row? What is that for?
The Resource Row is a set of cards that all players can see. During each player's turn, they'll have a chance to trade or auction for some of the cards in the resource row. But we're getting ahead of ourselves. I'll go first so you can see how things work. Each player's turn is made up of four phases: The Finance Phase, Purchase Phase, Development Phase, and Going Gold Phase. After you complete these four phases, your turn ends, and the player to your left goes next. First up is the Finance Phase.
sounds simple enough.
